Ripple control / Loadmanagement

Ripple control (RC) is since decades a well proven technology to control consumers in the grid of a utility, also used for load optimisation. This will be done switching on/off e.g. heating systems, boilers, pumps, industrial plants, etc. as well as tariff switching, monthly demand reset in electricity meters, and the control of other loads like street lighting, air-conditioning, irrigation pumps, etc.

The components of a RC-system are the load control centre, installed at the utility control level, which controls and supervises all connected RC-substations. In those are installed the RC-transmitters with the couplings, which inject the RC-signals/pulses into the grids. Last but not least in the low voltage level there are installed the RC-receivers at the consumers site and execute the transmitted RC-commands.
