The main activities of the Elster Messtechnik GmbH are the production, calibration, certification and supply of water and heat meters for various purposes. Elster GmbH produces high precise electricity meters for various applications. For remote meter readings a broad portfolio of modems for different communication solutions is available. FROST -TIPPS Influence of frost on Water Meters
Water Meters (particularly M100 MNR Type) contain minimum residues of test water which can freeze during transport in frosty weather. If our advices are respected, the water meter will not get damaged nor will its measuring properties be affeceted.

Höhere Nebenkosten durch zu große Wasserzähler (Quelle: Plusminus)
In der ARD Sendung „Plusminus“, vom 21.07.2009 wurde darauf hingewiesen, dass in vielen Haushalten Wasserzähler eingesetzt werden, die für ihre Verwendung berdimensioniert sind, und deshalb bei typischen Durchflussanteilen Messabweichungen zuungunsten der Verbraucher aufweisen. Laut Plusminus wird dabei in vielen Fällen die Empfehlungen im Arbeitsblatt W 406 der DVGW nicht berücksichtigt.more
